Step back in time at 1870 Farm, a 17-acre educational farm offering hands-on experiences like animal feeding, gardening, and gemstone panning. With programs for all ages, including summer camps and fitness classes, it's a place where learning meets fun.

Choose from nature-based classes and programs including toddler/parent farm mornings, kids vet workshops, Junior Vet Academy Camp, and Farmers' Helper.

Enjoy Saturday Sunsets on the Farm, a wonderful summer event series to enjoy the farm while also supporting The Kids Farm Foundation, which provides scholarship for farm programs and assists animal rescues. Indulge in local Howling Cow Ice Cream from NC State, feed the farm animals, and enjoy live music, fun and games, and picnic areas. $30/vehicle
