About:
The oldest public park in the state of North Carolina, Pullen Park brings back nostaligic memories of Carolina childhoods, with it's vintage carousel, kiddie train, pedal boats and kiddie boats. Kids can enjoy 4 different playground areas, with a swing area, school age climb and slide (ages 5 - 12), sand play, and preschool playground (ages 2-5).
We love grabbing lunch there after a long morning of play. The cheese pizza is always a hit with the kids, and the sandwiches are surprisingly delish.
Tip! Make sure to buy tickets online as lines can get crazy, and go super early on the weekends (like 9 am at the latest) to avoid the crowds.
