Owned by Duke University, this gorgeous and sprawling 55-acre botanical wonderland offers a diverse blend of beautifully landscaped gardens, lawns, ponds, lakes and more. With more than 2,500 plant species and milles of paved and natural trails, Duke Gardens is the perfect destination for lazy lawn picnic or family photoshoot.

Forget your snacks? Stop by their snack hut to stock up on local treats included Locopops popsicles and pita & hummus snack trays.

Please note, the Gardens are currently completing the "Garden Gateway Project" an overhaul of the main entrance. Visitors should expect construction and modified access through Spring 2026. For the latest information, visit their website.
